In a recent period of big life changes, Seth Persons had the opportunity to go through a lot of personal artifacts - unearthing demos and live recordings of songs he'd never released. Some are evolving and may find their way to a future Goddess Fries release, others will never see the light of day. But there were some songs he wishes he had properly recorded in his first 10-15 years as a songwriter which now live here on A CLEANER HOUSE - the second archival EP released on Choir Records. The first four songs come from a live show at the internationally beloved Bottletree Cafe in Birmingham, AL where he and his band opened for Wild Nothing. “Incantation” is a demo of a song later released as Goddess Fries, and the last two were recorded as part of his undergraduate thesis project featuring friend and collaborator Tamara Harper.
